Throughout the years, our department has partnered with the South Carolina Department of Health and Enviornmental Control to have this service, as it is funded through a state initiative. While SCDHEC ultimately governs the program, we provide the smoke alarms and full installation of them. The program is primarily targeted at children/youth in a residence, along with any elderly or handicapped persons as well, however there is no limitation on who can recieve them. Suggested Areas for Smoke Alarms: -Hallways -Bedrooms -Living Areas -Paths of Egress -Stairways If you're in question on if you may not have enough smoke alarms, our department can provide a courtesy home inspection to make sure you are properly protected!

Smoke Detector Program
